What should you know about FSSAI registration?
Any natural or artificial person engaged in the production, processing, distribution, storage, or selling of food items is required to get an FSSAI registration or license. Depending on the size and type of business, FSSAI registration and FSSAI license are two separate things. Depending on the size of their company, FBOs need to acquire the required license or registration.
What documents are required for the same?
The operators of the food company are verified by photo.
Certificates of establishment and shop licensing, partnership agreements, certificates of incorporation, and other business registration documents are examples of business constitutions.
Evidence proving ownership of the business space, such as a lease, a letter of intent from the landlord, utility bills, etc.
Plan for the food safety management system.
A list of prepared or produced food items.
Details about a bank account.
Supporting documentation (if needed), such as a copy of the manufacturer’s license, a NOC from the municipality or panchayat, or a health NOC.
Conclusion: Just as getting an FSSAI license is necessary to start a food business, renewing the license is equally crucial. The business must apply for a renewal 30 days before the current license expires because the license is good for either one year or five years.
